Please note: The Obama Administration announced as of March 9, 2013, the White House Tour Program will be suspended indefinitely. While the White House is closed for tours, I am pleased to announce the U.S. Capitol Building and other sites in Washington D.C. remain open for tours. Visiting Washington, DC is an exciting and educational experience. My door is always open so please don't hesitate to stop by my office to visit our Capitol. We are located at 2306 Rayburn House Office Building, which is open to the public Monday-Friday during business hours.
If you are a resident of the Congressional District of who plans to visit Washington, D.C., my office may be able to provide you with tickets to many of the area's most popular attractions and historical landmarks. We are able to help you reserve tours to the White House, the U.S. Capitol, the Library of Congress, the Kennedy Center, the Supreme Court, and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing.
These tours are an excellent way to see all that the nation's capital has to offer, and all of these tours are of no charge to you. All tickets are provided to my constituents on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the large number of visitors, please request them as early as possible in order to maximize your chances. Tour hours and ticket availabilities vary throughout the year and by site, so please contact my office at your earliest convenience in order to guarantee maximum availability.
Requests for public tours of the White House must be submitted through one's Member of Congress and are accepted up to six months in advance. Also, self-guided tours are available from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday (excluding federal holidays), and are scheduled on a first come, first served basis and must be submitted 30 days in advance of the requested date. The White House requires that we include security information with your request so please be ready to provide your full name, including middle initial, social security number, gender, city and state of current residence and birth-date.
We encourage you to submit your request as early as possible since a limited number of tours are available. All White House tours are free of charge.
